My friends will tell you that I’m sweet, loyal and compassionate. I’ll be the first to admit I have no sense of humor. Even at a comedy show, my husband has been known to lean over and whisper in my ear, “You can laugh now" while I scratch my head in confusion.
But what is not a laughing matter is my absolute devotion to my three fur kids. I love everything about them - their big brown eyes, their uncanny ability to make me laugh and their unconditional love for me. They pick me up when I’m feeling down and put up with my off key note as I sing over the radio in the car. Roger Caras couldn’t have spoken any truer words when he said
I’m guessing you can relate, or you wouldn’t have found me. These are our precious babies, right? For most of my career, I cared for your fur kids while running a professional pet sitting service. I became a part of your family, sharing your excitement when your family grew, and crying alongside you when you said goodbye. I am blessed to have met hundreds of pets who own a piece of my heart.
One of those was a golden retriever named Mika. She had a golden smile I will never forget. We were an inseparable pair - she came to work with me, joined me on hiking adventures and even gave me a “paws up” when she met my now husband on our second date. My sweet girl, my heart dog. She taught me how precious our time together is. And is the reason I began photographing pets. I almost let time slip away without capturing all the things I love about her. Almost. But I didn’t. For that, I will always be grateful.
I grew up in central Pennsylvania, in a small town called State College. Otherwise known as the home of the Penn State Nittany Lions. I recently relocated to sunny southwest Florida to chase a dream. One that involves beaches, sunsets and dogs. Oh, and of course, a camera. I invite you to join me for an experience you will never forget and show you the most heart warming photos you have ever seen of your furry best friends.
