Man's Best Friend | State College pet photographer

In honor of Father's day, I wanted to celebrate man's best friends and the men who love them. If you've been following my work, then you know I'm a huge pet lover. And there's no doubt that for so many people, our dogs truly are our best friends. I think it's really important to capture the relationship we share with our pets. So whenever I can, I photograph pets and the people who love them. It's so rare for many of us to be in photos with our fur babies, yet the bond we share lives long after the time we share on earth together. So, I tip my hat to all the men who have made a difference in a dog's life. You may be one person, but to your dog, you truly are his world!

A rare capture of my husband and our puppy Kita.

You may remember Luna from an earlier blog post. Like many cocker spaniels she wiggled a lot during her photo session. But she was perfectly content to sit still long enough to get some photos with her "dad" Darin. Luna's still a puppy, but she's going to have a wonderful life with her family.

Shakes is a rescue dog who has found a loving home with Ryan and his family. He has since become a big "brother" to a little girl who he likes to keep in line.

I met Anya and her best friend Omar on campus while out for a walk with Izzy. I'm not sure who was more smitten with the puppy, me or Izzy. But there's no doubt that Omar is thrilled to be a first time "dad" to this little cutie, a 10 week old german shepherd/husky mix.

I've photographed Paisley a couple of years ago, but thought it would be fun to photograph her with her best friend Billy. She's such a fun girl who has hit the jackpot with the family who adopted her.
