Project 52: Week 7 - Pictures

As a photographer, I'm always encouraging friends, family and clients to get photos of those special moments in your life printed, framed and hung on your walls. Yes, it's lovely having nice art work to decorate your home, but how about something meaningful, such as photos of your family members (that includes your furry family members too), to surround yourself with in the most special place in the world, your home?

The downside of being a photographer is that I'm constantly taking new photos, so trying to decide which ones to print and display is almost too overwhelming. What if I like what I'm going to shoot next month better than the images I just created? However, last year, I made a promise to myself that I would hang some images of Izzy in my office. I picked 3 shots from a trip to Florida to visit my mother-in-law. One morning, Izzy and I ventured down to the beach for a walk. We had the whole place to ourselves! She had a blast running back and forth chasing the waves, and I had a blast watching her!

I'm so glad I kept my promise. The canvas wrap collage was the perfect way to showcase this wonderful day and is one of the variety of products I offer to my clients. Izzy may not be perfectly groomed...she is soaking wet and covered in sand, but the one thing you can't deny is that she is clearly a happy dog. Capturing real moments that you'll treasure forever is my specialty. Moments like that warm sunny morning playing in the ocean with my best friend.

This week's Project 52 theme is prints and do we print and display any images of our own pets. The answer is yes, I do! Here, Izzy sits in the chair at my desk where I spend so many hours working. The images of her from that memorable morning make me smile everyday!
